Rating: 80%

The product came as posted and came in the amount of time I expected. The product was in great shape it looked like it was brand new. My mother was excited to receive this product and try to get in a local bookstore but was having trouble so I said I have never had trouble on amazon.I came right to it and had great service. THanks

Interesting & Fun

Rating: 80%

This book should actually be called: "Don't Be an Idiot and You'll Live Longer." But I'm sure Dr. G and her publishers thought HOW NOT TO DIE sounded just a little bit better!

If you watch the DR. G: MEDICAL EXAMINER show at all regularly, you'll recognize a number of the scenarios presented in the book. Even having seen them before, though, I was intrigued enough to read the whole thing.

Most of the information provided is commen sense: if you don't become obese, if you don't smoke, do drugs, or drink yourself into oblivion, you're likely to live longer.

Some of the information is more abstract: that driving in a car with the windows all the way up or all the way down is safer than leaving them halfway, or that there are numerous harmful drug interactions that you've never heard of, or that you should really make sure that the prescriptions you get filled at a pharmacy are the right medications.

Overall, this is an informative (and even funny) read that, although I'm not sure could really save your life, at least makes you think and take a more active role in your healthcare.

A must read for everyone!

Rating: 100%

I haven't even finished reading it yet, and I'm certain that it is a book that everyone must read. This book is full of common sense things that most of us don't think about daily. More than that, she gives us things to be aware of that we certainly hadn't thought of. My children will be require to read most-if not every word- of this book. Especially the driving chapters!

How Not to Die: Surprising Lessons on Living Longer, Safer, and Healthier from America's Favorite Medical Examiner THIS IS A VERY INFORMATIVE BOOK. WHEN YOU READ IT SOME OF THE THINGS THAT HAPPEN TO THE PATIENTS OF DR.G, WILL REALLY MAKE YOU THINK ABOUT WHAT YOU DO TO YOURSELF AND YOUR BODY. I WOULD ADVISE EVERYONE TO READ THIS. DR.G PUTS IT IN WORDS THAT ALL OF US CAN UNDERSTAND.

The kindle version costs more the the paperback

Rating: 20%

What gives? I bought my kindle partly to save money, a book that requires no paper should be cheaper than a physical book.

I will stop recommending kindles to people I meet - and warn them the cost of the kindle books continue to rise and are now surpassing paper books in cost.
